Luxury guest house. An aesthetic, sensory experience in the heart of Arras.
Three double bedrooms, six travellers at most... A deliberately compact design, conducive to paying attention to the quality of your stay, to exchanging ideas with your host as well as with other travellers also wanting to break away from the impersonal nature of hotel chains. It took three years to restore this private mansion, which is over a hundred years old. Refined décor, top-of-the-range bedding, and more. A journey of wonder that will leave you speechless, before transforming you into a storyteller.

THE ROOMS
MAISON MANOTTE D'ARTOIS
As you approach the guest house, you’ll be captivated by the imposing façade of this building with its typical 18th-century architecture, nestled in the quiet, sought-after Place de Marseille district. As soon as you cross the threshold, you’re in for a truly aesthetic, sensory experience, starting with a warm welcome from Bertrand, the interior designer, who wanted to preserve the soul of the place while incorporating all the comforts expected of a luxury home.

AESTHETICS
Maison Manotte d'Artois takes its name from the homing pigeon that is emblematic of the Hauts-de-France region, but which is now virtually extinct. Roaming, travelling, stop-overs...these are the common threads running through the unique décor, which echoes the presence in the tree-lined garden of an old red-brick town dovecote, evidence of a noble practice, a lost symbol of prestige and social success. Marble fireplaces, plaster mouldings and cornices on the ceilings, cement tiles in geometric patterns, carpets by Christian Lacroix - this is the décor you’ll take in during your stay, which is all about discovery and sharing.

THE SITUATION
Just a 10-minute walk from the squares and the TGV station, Maison Manotte d'Artois is the ideal base from which to explore the city. On the sound advice of your host Bertrand, an Arras native with a strong attachment to this town steeped in history. Must-see places, interesting addresses, “hidden gems” to discover off the beaten track... We’ll also be inviting you to stroll around, taking up Régis Carlo’s philosophy “Dare to get lost and find yourself the next moment with treasure lying in your hands”. On your return, you can relax in the tranquillity of the garden, the orangery or the cosy lounge and prolong this moment of complicity by savouring a home-made snack, a delicate wine or a vintage champagne before heading off to one of the town’s recommended restaurants.
